John Paul II<\/h4>\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Sunday, October 31, 1999<\/p>\n\n<p>At the end of the Holy Mass, in a parish hall was held a meeting with the youth and with the members of the pastoral council and the representatives of the different realities of the parish. On behalf of those present, Vittorio, 29, addressed these words of greeting to the Pope:<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00abHoly Father, we have greeted you with the words that Elizabeth said to the Virgin Mary:\u201c How is it that the Mother of the Lord comes to me? \u201d This song expresses gratitude to you for this visit to our parish community. In this meeting we are present: a Neocatechumenal Community, the promoters of the oratory, the catechists, the members of the financial council of the parish and the young people who are preparing for the World Youth Day. Holy Father, in these few years of the life of our parish we have seen that we are not \u201cgood\u201d, we are weak and sinful and so many times it is difficult for us to be a light in our neighborhood, but we have experienced that only in Christ, dead and risen for our salvation, there is life; For this reason we ask His Holiness, as Peter&#8217;s successor, to confirm us in faith. Thank you, we are grateful and full of joy for your presence among us \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Holy Father, speaking to the present said these words:&#013;\n&#013;\n\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00abEnseguida se nota que sois  Neocatecumenales. Basta escuchar los cantos. Que son vuestros cantos  espec\u00edficos. Despu\u00e9s, que, sois gente joven, eso se ve. Os prepar\u00e1is para el A\u00f1o 2000, para la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud,  en Roma: y esto est\u00e1 bien. Tambi\u00e9n yo me preparo, aunque cada vez soy  menos joven. Y los j\u00f3venes me siguen siempre gozosos. Por eso os doy las gracias con ocasi\u00f3n de esta visita, y os deseo una  buena continuaci\u00f3n a todos; a las comunidades parroquiales, al consejo  de pastoral, a los j\u00f3venes y a los Neocatecumenales. El Jubileo ir\u00e1 bien. El A\u00f1o 2000 est\u00e1 ya cerca. La Puerta Santa se  abrir\u00e1 dentro de menos de dos meses, el 24 de diciembre. Recordamos  todav\u00eda a nuestros difuntos, en estos d\u00edas particulares, en los que toda  la Iglesia los conmemora. Gracias una vez m\u00e1s. \u00a1Tened siempre gran \u00e1nimo! Tambi\u00e9n vuestro p\u00e1rroco  es neocatecumenal se ve r\u00e1pido. El que lleva barba es siempre  sospechoso. Tambi\u00e9n el coadjutor lleva barba.
