{"id":4005,"date":"2019-05-04T06:00:09","date_gmt":"2019-05-04T05:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/15.188.244.8.xip.io\/the-way-evangelizes-again-in-the-squares-of-the-world-with-the-great-mission-2019\/"},"modified":"2021-08-10T10:58:17","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T09:58:17","slug":"the-way-evangelizes-again-in-the-squares-of-the-world-with-the-great-mission-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/neocatechumenaleiter.org\/en\/the-way-evangelizes-again-in-the-squares-of-the-world-with-the-great-mission-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"The Way evangelizes again in the squares of the world with the &#8220;Great Mission&#8221; 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"294\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/neocatechumenaleiter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Camino_Neocatecumenal_cartel_mision_plazas_evangelizacion.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-785\" srcset=\"https:\/\/neocatechumenaleiter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Camino_Neocatecumenal_cartel_mision_plazas_evangelizacion.png 294w, https:\/\/neocatechumenaleiter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Camino_Neocatecumenal_cartel_mision_plazas_evangelizacion-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 294px) 100vw, 294px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>Some <strong>10,000 places from 135 countries<\/strong> will return&#13;\nto be the scene of the &#8220;Great Mission&#8221; that the Neocatechumenal Way&#13;\nIt will be held for the seventh consecutive year starting this coming Sunday.<\/p>\n\n<p>Just a few days ago, after Easter Sunday, <strong>Pope Francis<\/strong> remembered&#13;\nthat every Christian is called to meet the risen Jesus Christ&#13;\n&#8220;And to become His announcers and witnesses.&#8221; So, welcoming&#13;\nonce again the words of the Holy Father, the neocatechumenal communities&#13;\nwill offer various catechesis to help people to have an encounter with Jesus Christ through <strong>listening to the Good News: the Kerigma.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The &#8220;Great Mission&#8221; consists of <strong>5 meeting<\/strong>s in&#13;\nwhich answers to\u00a0 questions like &#8220;Who is God to you?&#8221;&#13;\n&#8220;Have you experienced in your life that God exists?&#8221;, &#8220;What do you live for?&#8221;&#13;\n&#8220;What is the Church?&#8221; or &#8220;Do you want to be helped and live in a community&#13;\nChristian? \u201d will be given.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to catechesis, as normally done, the psalms of the liturgy of the day will be sung as well as the well-known dance that characterizes the communities of the Way.<\/p>\n\n<p>The<strong> first day<\/strong>, through the testimony of one person, an answer will be given to\u00a0 the question: &#8220;Who is God&#8221;, &#8220;Why do you believe in God &#8220;, or &#8220;How have you experienced in your life that God exists?&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the <strong>second Sunday<\/strong>, the meeting will focus on the question &#8220;Who are you and what do you live for?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p>During the third meeting, the Kerigma will be announced, which is God&#8217;s response to the existential situation of sin and death and the center of evangelization and of this \u201cGreat Mission \u201din the squares.<\/p>\n\n<p>On the <strong>second to last Sunday,<\/strong> the protagonist will be a call to conversion with the possibility of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, with individual confessions.<\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>fifth meeting<\/strong> will deal more concretely with the Church and the Christian community.<\/p>\n\n<p>The \u201cGreat Mission\u201d in the squares was born in response to the invitation of <strong>Pope Francis<\/strong> to a \u201cChurch on the way out\u201d that goes \u201cto the peripheries\u201d, key throughout his Pontificate.<\/p>\n\n<p>As a result of this evangelization on the streets, there have been many conversions and <strong>life changes that have occurred in people.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>In his recent Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation on young people \u201cChrist Lives\u201d, the Pontiff confesses that \u201cthere is nothing more solid, deeper, safer, denser and wiser than that announcement. All <strong>Christian formation<\/strong> is above all the deepening of the kerygma that is becoming flesh more and more. \u201d<\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, the Pope writes that the Lord &#8220;invites us to go without fear with the missionary announcement,&#13;\nwherever we are and with whomever we are, in the neighborhood, in our studies, in sports, on outings with friends, in&#13;\nvolunteering or at work; it is always good and timely to share the&#13;\njoy of the Gospel \u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some 10,000 places from 135 countries will return&#13; to be the scene of the &#8220;Great Mission&#8221; that the Neocatechumenal Way&#13; It will be held for the seventh consecutive year starting this coming Sunday.
