Vanaf het begin van de Weg in 1964 tot 2016 bestond het team uit Kiko Arg\u00fcello en Carmen Hern\u00e1ndez, initiatoren van de Weg, en pater Mario Pezzi. Na het overlijden van Carmen op 19 juli 2016, is Mar\u00eda Ascensi\u00f3n Romero deel uit gaan maken van het team. Het internationale team bevordert de Neocatechumenale Weg over heel de wereld, met de medewerking van itinerante teams in elk land.
