Vocation call on the Mount of Beatitudes 3/24/2000

At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, the initiators of the Way had a meeting with 50,000 young people from the Neocatechumenal Communities from 72 nations. During the meeting, presided by Cardinal Antonio María Rouco Varela, archbishop of Madrid, there was a vocational call: about three thousand young men have stood up for the priesthood and about two thousand girls for religious life. More than two thousand girls have stood up for the vocational call for religious life, here on their knees while they receive the laying on of hands by the bishops.
