Three Spanish families who have completed the Neocatechumenal itinerary have received the cross from the Holy Father, as a sign of being sent, before leaving for the “Young Towns” of the city of Lima in Peru. In these urban agglomerates lacking all kinds of social structure, consisting of shacks of mats built on sand made by the peasants who arrive by the thousands in the city, Cardinal Landázuri has entrusted to these families entire areas where the presence of the Church is almost non-existent.
