Private audience of the first families for the “New Evangelization” January 15, 1986
St. John Paul II
Vatican City, January 15, 1986
In the course of an Audience, the Holy Father has sent to the cities of Oulu (Finland), Hamburg and Strasbourg, the first three families destined to open the way for a new form of evangelization among the distant and alienated. These families leave with their children to the neighborhoods where they are destined, looking for a house, work, school … and sharing the way of life of the people of the neighborhood, with the vision of giving them a testimony of Jesus Christ as One they have found and discovered in Him the only one capable of giving meaning and fulfillment to their lives. They are accompanied by a priest and a young man who collaborates with them to show a true and proper “plantatio ecclesiae”.
