Dear Brothers,

Pope Francis, at the General Audience last Wednesday, asked the Universal Church to raise prayers for Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, whose health has declined in recent days.

We, the brothers of the Neocatechumenal Way, unite ourselves to this petition. How much we have to thank Pope Benedict for his love for the Way, manifested on so many occasions! Let us pray together with Pope Francis and the whole Church at this time that the Lord will sustain his faithful servant in this situation of transit.

We ask you, dear brothers and sisters, to raise in the liturgies of the coming days a prayer for our beloved Pope Benedict.
